HELP EXPAND
OUR PERMANENT COLLECTION
ACQUISITIONS FUND
El Museo del Barrio’s Acquisitions Fund provides direct support to our Curatorial Department, working in collaboration with the Acquisitions Committee, by enabling them to continue growing our Permanent Collection through the acquisition of new works.
El Museo’s Permanent Collection offers an in-depth perspective on Latinx art and visual culture in the U.S., Latin America, and the Caribbean. Ranging from pre-Columbian to modern and contemporary art, the collection, totaling more than 8,500 objects, is a unique cultural resource that reflects the institution’s decolonized and diasporic history and ethos.
Your support is essential to the vitality of the Museum and enables us to continue upholding El Museo del Barrio’s founding mission of presenting and preserving Latinx and Caribbean art and culture.
